We need a bright, enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to develop our fundraising portfolio in order to increase our unrestricted income.
We are happy to offer flexible working hours for this position to make it work for both the post holder and the role. Due to the nature of the role you will be required to travel frequently around Conwy to meet volunteers and supporters and you may need to work occasional weekends or evenings.
The Community Fundraiser role is a new position that has been created to help us connect with local residents, companies and other organisations in order to raise vital funds for our work. As the sole Community Fundraiser, you will be responsible for developing the Fundraising strategy and building relationships to proactively raise income within Conwy.
To recruit new community fundraising volunteers and create volunteer groups.Identifying and engaging with organisations from the public, private and statutory sectors groups and associations, with the aim of securing long-term charity partnerships.
To all the Promoters, DJ’s, and guests, involved with the “On the Piersides Motown Night” I write to express the heartfelt gratitude of myself and everyone at Aberconwy Mind for thinking of us when you held a charitable collection at your event, it is fantastic to receive donations towards our work at any time, but somehow when local people feel motivated to support our work it means that little bit more. So thank you most sincerely for the £200.00 you raised for us, it will be put to good use supporting people in the local community suffering with mental health issues.
It is with regret that we have to announce that the Rabbit Hole Cafe ceased trading on 12th October.
The Cafe first opened five years ago, financed by a three year grant from the Big Lottery. The principle purpose was to offer volunteering and work placement opportunities for those who were experiencing, or who had experienced, Mental Illness or Emotional distress. Over the years the Project has been successful to that end, and has resulted in a number of people securing employment in the retail sector as a result.
We have managed to continue the Project for a further two years, following the ending of the Big Lottery Grant, hoping to make the project a viable self sustaining commercial entity. Sadly, this has not been possible and Aberconwy Mind is not in a position to financially sponsor the Rabbit Hole Cafe.
The Director and the Board of Trustees would like to thank all the staff and volunteers for their efforts over the past five years as well as the loyal customers who have supported our mission. We look forward, in the not to distant future, to announcing some major new initiatives to further enhance the services that we offer to the population of Conwy County.
