The Active Inclusion Fund is managed by Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) supported by funding from European Structural and Investment Funds. It aims to reduce economic inactivity in Wales and improve the employability of disadvantaged people furthest from the labour market.

There are places available for young people aged 16yrs – 24yrs. Placements are not only just at Mind or in the Rabbit Hole but in other organisations. Wages are paid for 16 weeks and are for 16 hours a week. The placements can help with work, training and volunteering. Jobs may be available after depending on the appropriate organizations.

Offering socially inactive participants with Mental Health problems opportunities to move forward by developing new skills and accesss to supportive training and volunteering. Encouraging planning and focus to achieve lasting change that will enable them to take the next step of moving into employement.

Via our award winning Social Enterprise Cafe, we are offering opportunities and work based learning to socially inactive participants who experience mental health issues who may feel disadvantaged and marginalized in the workplace. With paid and voluntary places available alongside work based learning and accredited qualificiations to enhance confidence.

We will offer young, socially inactive participants with mental health problems accessible work, volunteering and training by supporting and preparing people who feel marginalized. Encouraging people to re-evaluate options towards the goal of improving their career prospects; increasing their opportunities in the work place leading to real success and learning.
